My work begins with direct observation—quiet moments of looking closely at the world around me—but it’s shaped just as much by response as by reality. I’m drawn to the space between what is seen and what is felt, where observation is filtered through memory, mood, and gesture. I work across a wide range of styles and materials, letting the subject and moment determine the approach. Some pieces lean toward careful representation, while others become more expressive, intuitive, or abstract. This flexibility allows me to explore the emotional tone of a subject as much as its physical form. Whether through drawing, painting, or mixed media, my goal is not to replicate what I see but to respond to it in a way that feels honest, personal, and alive.
